Within Nike’s extensive catalog, the Nike Air Force 1 and the Nike Air Max 90 occupy a place so special that they are often considered the two most popular silhouettes of the Beaverton-based equipment manufacturer.
Debuting at the beginning of the 90s, the Nike Air Max 90 has consistently played the leading role, contributing to the financial success of the brand that has understood very well. The Swoosh brand keeps releasing new versions of the Air Max 90 including this new colorway “UNC” which should arrive in spring 2023.
The silhouette emerges in a combination of “White”, “University Blue” and “Dark Obsidian” reminiscent of the University of North Carolina’s colors. While white mesh is used for its base, its overlays are made of suede, in a gray hue. A bold blue applied to the side Swooshes and TPU overlays along the tongues immediately catches the eye, while the linings, tongue labels and side mudguards take on a deep navy tone, further accentuating the contrasts. “Nike Air” and “Air Max” branding, meanwhile, take position on the insoles, tongue labels and lateral sides toward the back of the shoe.
Underfoot, Air Max units and waffle-patterned tread complete the look.
