Every year, Hispanic Heritage Month is honored in the United States during Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15. And, every year, this tradition leads to another: Nike uses to celebrate this month with numerous iterations of its iconic silhouettes, including this Nike Air Max 1 “Somos Familia”.

Dressed in a mix of “Pale Vanilla” and “Orange” tones nodding to the Cempasúchil flower, also known as “Flor de los Muertos” and much appreciated during the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos, aka Day of the Dead, on November 1 and 2, this offering of the Nike Air Max 1 is made of burlap textile and suede with floral – Cempasúchil flower – embossed on the forefoot guard and lower heel. Additional embellishments include lime green shrouds, an outsole that glows in the dark, stitch side Swooshes, and green soles emblazoned with “Somos Familia.”
